I made a commitment with myself that I wouldn’t give up on pursuing my passion. I knew that even if I loved what I was doing, I’d still encounter rough patches along the way.
I was so inspired to be a Hairstylist, in the early stages, I was sacrificing everything to pursue this career. I haven’t felt this kind of passion for something since my soccer days. The beginning had brought on new challenges that disrupted my confidence because I wasn’t sure if I had the ability to conquer them.
I walked into this industry excited and ready for my new chapter! The beginning was more than overwhelming having to learn about color theory, haircutting, styling, and how to build relations with new clients. I felt like I was never going to succeed because I had failed 100 times at doing something I LOVED.
Looking back, I wish I wouldn’t have been so hard on myself because it’s not humanly possible to be a master in new territory. Unless you’re Mozart. It takes practice and time to build your knowledge, your confidence, your skill.
Even with the rough patches I’ve encountered and those yet to come, I vow to love you always and forever. You are my strength, guidance and happiness. Without you, I would feel lost. Thank you Passion 💛
